The Rosa Fifty. Parks Schoolhouse of Fine and Performing Arts is a iv-year public high school in Paterson in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States, serving students in 9th through twelfth grades as part of the Paterson Public Schools. In October 1986, Rosa Parks honored the school family at the opening anniversary by cutting the ribbon.[2] To engagement, information technology is the only high school in the United States named after her.[ commendation needed ]

The schoolhouse provides preparation in each of eight art majors: Commercial Art, Fine Art, Trip the light fantastic, Drama, Vocal, Instrumental, Piano, and Advice Arts (formerly known as Creative Writing). Advice Arts, however, is non recognized as a major, due to the fact that information technology is not considered a fine art anymore. Paterson residents in 8th grade can apply for admission to Rosa Parks School, with acceptance based on a competitive audition process, which may include a submission of an fine art or writing portfolio.[3]
